Pathfinder Award for Innovation in Conservation has been launched by The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), and WildArk . The award celebrates, honours and supports individuals, groups or organizations for their exceptional solutions for the sustainability of protected and conserved areas. The inaugural call focuses on the sustainable financing and resourcing of protected and conserved area systems or site. Nominations/applications are open till 14 August 2018 at 12:00 CEST (Europe) and the inaugural award will be presented at the 14th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP14).
